Would stay again
Stayed as a base while in Leeds for family funeral. Hotel fine - bit of a yomp to the room though. Dined in restaurant and Oliver was a star. Downside - car park is VERY poorly lit.
Great University Reunion. Fantastic venue and staff.
Having just returned from a university reunion that was arranged at the hotel in The Claret Jug restaurant I can only say what a fantastic venue, great food and superb staff. It was always going to be a great night meeting up with old friends but the venue and the staff added massively to our enjoyment. It fell to me to make the arrangements and Rosie from events was very efficient and helpful. She guided me skilfully through all the administration, so thank you Rosie. We were very well looked after by 5 lovely members of staff. These being Amy, Sophie, Ella, Rory and Liam. My thanks to you all for making our night that bit more special. Checking out the morning after the night before 😊 was made easy by Ellie when I was let’s say a little jaded. 😊 So if you’re considering holding an event here I’d just say get on and book it. You won’t be disappointed 👍
Pure heaven
Wow! The hotel blows you away, pure elegance. Perfect golf course, beautiful ambiance, gorgeous food and very attentive staff, shout out to the bar manager Chris for looking after us.
Perfection
Perfect! lovely decor throughout the hotel, very classy. The staff made us feel very special in particular Oliver in the restaurant could not do enough for us! We can't wait to come back.
Amazing Stay
Stayed here with my girlfriend for her birthday. We used the spa facilities and both had treatments. We had a meal in the evening at the Calverely Grill restaurant where the food was at a high standard. The staff members in the restaurant, Sarah, Lillian, Izzy and Emma were all very attentive and friendly! Lovely stay all around, would definitely reccomend the hotel.
Incredible
What can I say….wow! The opulence, the aroma, the smartly dressed staff. First off, it was the smell that enraptured me, floral and musk. As I made my way across the Bridgerton style checkered floor, I glided underneath the chandelier to start my long journey to my room. When I opened the door I was met with an impressive sized boudoir. We decided to eat at the grand restaurant otherwise known as the Cavalry. The staff kindly seated us and continued to serve us with a smile throughout. Our food was NEXT LEVEL. Never have I ever eaten food that has left me speechless. The taste, the texture, THE SMELL. Izzy, Sarah, Lillian and Emma were fabulous. These staff members need a rise. Their attention to detail was exceptional. They somehow mastered friendly and familiar vs professional. I would stay here again without a second thought. What a place. The brown exterior, the purple lights. WHAT A TRIP. This will live on in my memories. Just amazing.
Two night stay for work
Beautiful hotel only 15mins from the centre of Leeds. Very grand renaissance setting with clean and welcoming rooms. Breakfast was lovely and the quality of the food in the Calverley Grill was really good. Our wait staff Izzy, Sarah, Lillian and Emma were so welcoming and attentive it really enhanced the enjoyment of our evening meal :) I would definitely stay here again.
Excellent stay
Had a wonderful over night stay, the Queens room was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities you could wish for. The country views from the room was breath taking. The spa facilities were great, restaurant and friendly staff(lillian, sarah, izzy, reece, emma, archie) served high quality food and provided excellent service. We will return again for the experience.
Birthday meal
My partner took me to the Oulton hall restaurant for my birthday and it truly was a great night! The service was quick and sufficient and when the food came out it was delicious, I definitely recommend the pork belly! All in all the hotel as a whole felt warm and welcoming I was very impressed and I can’t wait to return hopefully to stay the night, a big thank you to all who contributed in our night. Sarah, Oliver, Steve, iris, Reese and Izzy.
A nice break
Had a lovely, relaxing break. Had an evening meal for 2 in a relaxed atmosphere even though the room was full. Bedroom was nice and spacious with comfortable chairs. Breakfast was good, but the hot water from the urn was tepid. Good value for money on the day we went.
Beautiful hotel, great staff
We stayed at Oulton Hall to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay.
Fab.
Fabulous stay in a wonderful hotel, everything was perfect. Enjoyed lovely meals in the restaurant, chilled out in the Spa and slept well in our very pleasant room. All staff are wonderful and very professional, a particular thank you to Emma, in the restaurant, who looked after everyone brilliantly, including making extra effort entering into the spirit of Halloween.
A lovely getaway
My partner and I wanted a little getaway to celebrate our anniversary. I've always marvelled at Oulton Hall and my stay exceeded my expectations. Any member of staff we encountered was friendly, warm and accommodating. It was Halloween weekend, they made a special effort dressing up and the specially created cocktails were top tier. We stayed in the Superior Double. The bathroom decor felt modern and the king size bed was super comfy. Had dinner in the Calverly Grill, would recommend the pork belly starter and the duck breast main. Spent the day in the spa, be sure to book treatments well in advance as they get booked up quickly. The facilities were great, good size pool, well equipped gym, great steam room and sauna. The grounds are lovely, if the weather is good be sure to go for a walk. Overall, the hotel had a great vibe and did the job of enabling us to switch off, relax and enjoy our little celebration.
Another good stay
Another very good stay at Oulton Hall. I couldn't fault the staff, breakfast was very good, and the spa was a treat. Our room was large and clean, but like many hotel rooms it was much too dark. There are no overhead lights in the main bedroom area and not enough lamps. This is fine for chilling with a glass of wine or watching tv but not for blow drying your hair and getting ready to go out. Also needed drawers in bedside tables or the desk as there's nowhere to put small items away. Overall though the hotel is a calm.spot to chill and for some spa/golf when visiting relatives in Leeds.
