Great hotel
Lovely grounds, impressive common areas. Very grand and I have to say a great Yorkshire welcome and friendliness from all the staff. It’s actually very big but doesn’t feel it at all. Great hotel and such easy proximity to Leeds. Good breakfast, although ANOTHER hotel with one of those toast machines that needs the toast feeding through at least twice. Why?????
Great hostel - fantastic staff .............
Beautiful main building & was surprised when I was told that I wasn't sleeping in the main building, but was put in timeshare property around the back. But tbf they, like most timeshare property were stunning very large, self catering apartments.
Wonderful and pampering stay, staff is so sweet and welcoming
We had a very recharging weekend, the staff from Reception, to Restaurant, to Spa - were lovely and gentle. My girlfriend and I had a very special time up here and loved the cute little touches prepared for our Anniversary. Thank you (special mention to Lillian, Reece, Rosie, Izzy P. and Steve). Thank you for a very warm and meaningful stay
Amazing stay!
Amazing stay! The room was spotless and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job. The room amenities were great, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Fantastic property Excellent Housekeeping!
I recently attended the UKHA Yorkshire & North East Summer Ball at Oulton Hall, and it was a fantastic evening. The hotel looked beautiful, with elegant public areas that were spotlessly clean and well presented. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes great pride in maintaining such a large and historic property. From the moment we arrived, everything looked polished and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for the event. The staff were friendly and professional, and the atmosphere throughout the evening was excellent. The attention to detail in the presentation of the hotel really stood out. Thank you to everyone at Oulton Hall for hosting such a memorable event. A special mention to the housekeeping team, whose hard work often goes unnoticed but played a big part in making the evening so enjoyable. I look forward to returning.
Excellent stay for a special occasion.
Excellent place. Comfortable rooms. Had family lunch to celebrate a birthday and the food was excellent as was the service. Jeanette in particular was so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.
Cream tea meeting
We had our first meeting of the CIC. Today and close to have it at Oulton Hall. The hotel was beautiful and we were made so welcome by Yusef. He looked after us so well and nothing was too much trouble. He brought beautiful warm fresh scones with cream & jam. Very tasty I can’t wait for my next visit Top marks for Yusef!
Great experience , good food and beautiful property
It was an amazing experience at Oulton Hall. We were served by the brilliant Youssef He looked after us superbly . Great food. We were doing a charity event and he set it all up and organised it brilliantly x
3 day golf getaway
Good location for a golf getaway. Rooms neat and tidy. Food average and drinks reasonably priced. 27 holes to play and testing courses for all handicaps. Overall fair value. Staff very friendly and eager to help. There are 2 pubs within 15 mins walk if you fancy a walk out.
Beautiful hotel
Very nice atmosphere, enjoyed and a few drinks in the champagne bar before checking in.
Amazing stay x
We stayed at Oulton Hall in June for a couples’ getaway, and everything about our stay was amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed. The views were absolutely perfect, and the peaceful, quiet surroundings made it the ideal place to unwind. The food was delicious and full of flavour! I had the scallops and lamb dishes which were cooked to perfection followed by the white chocolate crème brule , the staff were warm, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us, and our room was simply out of this world. We were also delighted when a beautiful fruit platter was delivered to our room – such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. One of the things I loved most was how the hotel’s rich history has been preserved. Throughout the hotel, there are fascinating displays with information about its beautiful past, along with photographs of the previous family owners. It really feels as though the history is still alive within the building, adding so much character and charm to the experience. Our stay was so incredible that we’ve decided we want Oulton Hall to be our wedding venue! We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable stay. Xxx
Golfing Weekend
Booked here for 27 golfers, great course a real test, lovely rooms and food, staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble, from the pro shop to the restaurant and bars, big shout out for Martine who organised it for us and Rhiannon on reception who booked us in and sorted a few minor issues out straight away, thoroughly enjoyable weekend and will definitely be returning.
Another great stay, but sadly let down by AC issues
My last visit to Oulton Hall was nearly a year ago, and I was delighted to return to celebrate a belated 40th birthday with a friend. As always, Oulton Hall is a spectacular setting. The building is stunning, and both the communal areas and grounds are beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food, both in the lounge and the main dining room, was excellent, our spa treatments were fantastic, and it was nice to find the pool area a little quieter than on my previous visit. The only aspect that let the stay down was the air conditioning in our Superior Room, which resulted in two very warm nights. The room itself was lovely, with comfortable beds, fluffy bathrobes, a complimentary minibar, a modern bathroom, and everything was spotlessly clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly well during the afternoons, but each evening it would stop cooling. I reported this on the first night, and the member of staff was very helpful. They checked whether the issue was affecting other rooms and confirmed that it was, so there was little point in moving us. Instead, we were provided with an additional fan, which unfortunately was quite noisy and rattled throughout the night. The maintenance team looked at the AC the following day and everything appeared to be working again, but the same problem returned on the second evening. Once again, I reported it to reception, who confirmed that other rooms were experiencing the same issue. I have since heard that the air conditioning system may only switch into cooling mode when the outside temperature exceeds 24c. If that is the case, I think the policy needs reviewing. The temperature inside the rooms can easily exceed this, particularly as the windows only open slightly. At this time of year, evening temperatures often remain around 20c with very little breeze, making the rooms uncomfortably warm overnight. Guests should be able to choose when they use the air conditioning based on the temperature in their room, rather than the temperature outside. Despite this issue, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return. However, if the air conditioning operates this way permanently, we would probably avoid visiting during the warmer months.
Such a relaxing trip
Me and my partner had a great spa day today at oulton hall. We both had a back and a facial treatment with the therapist Sam, she was professional and caring , she listened to my concerns carefully, the massage pressure was great and my face looked very glowing. we used the facilities afterwards and it was amazing . We had an amazing birthday treat thank you Sam ☺️ we will definitely book again 💫
Kind hosts
It was a very lovely experience with kind hosts who were very understanding, considerate, and welcoming named Alemia and Michelle.
Great weekend
Great experience Janine was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Absolute legend
Opulent stay
I had very kindly been given this break through Carefree and Oulton Hall. I booked a twin room so that my friend could join me and was very surprised when we were told we had a superior twin with robes, Nespresso machine and even a complimentary mini bar! The room Was very good , comfy bed and near the spa which we enjoyed using. Only slight change I would make is there was t a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. We ate in the restaurant, the service and food were excellent and the champagne bar was opulent. Breakfast in the morning was good. We sat outside in the morning by the champagne bar but there was a horrible smell of drains which was a shame as the views were lovely. Oulton Hall makes you feel Very spoilt with the decor and ambience.
Could not help enough to make the event a success, timings were perfect with food and the tech was easy
The organisers were very thorough, especially Liv who looked after the event
