Richmond Castle Suite 

Picked the Oulton purely for the location as we had the emerdale Tour close by. Would we recommend it yes we would. Only thing to let it down was the food etc. Room service is pricey but personally it was worth it. The pizza was superb and the spicy wings also superb. Breakfast I wouldn’t be in a hurry back for that. It was decent but was expecting a lot more selection and organised a bit better. Standing in a small que for such a small area and selection. Standard for the size of the hotel. Hot food selection was small and not a big selection. You also need to ask for scrambled eggs or poached egg. No black pudding which is pretty standard in a breakfast. We stayed in the Maldron in Newcastle the day after this and buy god they had a hell of a lot more for a cheap 1 night hotel. Dinner food not a massive section and ended with a burger for the wife and fish and chips for myself. Starter and a main and 2 drink £67 pretty pricey for what we got. Room was superb and getting our extras for arrival was a cracking touch. Cleaners fantastic. And room service fantastic. The spa again superb pool etc. the grounds are fantastic.

Came for a birthday celebration. It was absolutely lovely. Staff were nice and helpful. The room was nice, the food was fantastic. Such a beautiful setting too. Special shout out to Imogen behind the bar who looked after us so well.

The Calverly grill has been the cornerstone of my visits to Oulton hall recently. Izzy P, Lillian and Sarah have been absolutely exceptional in ensuring that our visits are absolutely top grade. I would recommend a trip here to anyone along with a personal commendation of the staff mentioned above. Thank you so much!

What a wonderful stay at Oulton Hall Hotel. Despite there being multiple fire alarms throughout the night and during the day, I couldn't agree more that the staff on shift especially Antonia, followed their procedures and ensured everyone was safe. Food and Drink was immaculate. I will most certainly be retiring despite slight issues which can't be helped.

Beautiful hotel, great location. We stayed for two nights to relax and recharge. We had two lovely dinners in the restaurant, and breakfast was also great. Our room was comfortable and felt well cared for (except the negotiation required to encourage the loo to flush but we're now battle hardened to hotel plumbing so it didn't bother us too much). The surroundings are very relaxing, lots of lounge areas, bars and terraces. We don't play golf so were quite disappointed that although the website makes much of the opportunity to walk in the grounds, the paths only lead to the next tee and it's not long before someone shouts four! We asked for a map but drew a blank. The swimming pool and spa are well kept and we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon. Overall we would return and enjoy the Yorkshire welcome again

We recently enjoyed an overnight stay and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The reception team gave us a warm welcome, making us feel at home as soon as we arrived Our spa experience was delightful, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. My treatment was exactly what I needed, and I highly recommend the Signature Spa Ritual—it was the perfect way to unwind. Dinner in the Champagne Bar was ideal, as we were able to have our dog, Lily, stay with us. The stunning views over the golf course made the experience even more special. A final mention goes to Hayley on the reception desk. She was always happy to make a fuss of Lily and regularly checked that we were enjoying our stay. Her friendly, thoughtful service really made a difference. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to return!

I had a wonderful spa experience. Haleema was really lovely—warm, welcoming, and made me feel completely at ease from the moment I arrived. I had the shoulder, neck, and scalp massage, and it was incredibly relaxing. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Thank you, Haleema, for such a fantastic experience!

We had another wonderful stay at Oulton Hall. The hotel is absolutely stunning, with beautiful surroundings and a fantastic atmosphere that keeps us coming back. A special mention goes to Hayley on reception, who assisted us with all of our planning from start to finish. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making everything so easy and ensuring our stay was perfect. We originally stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon in 2022, and we've been coming back ever since. Every member of staff is genuinely warm and welcoming, and they always make us feel valued. We can't wait for our next visit!

Our visit was a family get together with a photographer taking pictures of us all. Arranged with the help of Amy Lake, it was great fun to organise - she helped with suggestions on locations, room layout and food options. The rooms are excellent, clean and comfortable and good value. The food was quite splendid as was our service and the service team, led by Julia, were superb x helpful quick and efficient in dealing with us all. We chose the location to suit our family and were rewarded with a great setting, both internally and externally and we took away some great memories. We are already considering a return visit for another family occasion soon! Thank you all.

What an exceptional afternoon at the Bottomless Brunch at Oulton Hall! We attended as a group of six, and from the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were outstanding—professional, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring everyone had a fantastic time. The food was beautifully prepared, the drinks were excellent and served promptly throughout, and the DJ created the perfect atmosphere with a great selection of music that kept the energy high all afternoon. Every aspect of the event was exceptionally well organised, making it a truly memorable experience for our entire group. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and are already looking forward to attending the next Bottomless Brunch. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Oulton Hall for delivering such a wonderful event. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, set in such grand surroundings, the entrance is great and overall you feel very special being here. Atmosphere is calm and relaxing, the rooms are really clean and maintained daily. We stayed when a wedding was happening and you couldn’t hear it at all in other parts of the hotel and overall very quiet. The food is beautiful. But what really stood out was the staff, in particular Oliver who was very fun, professional and had a great standard. He made the whole dining experience brilliant. A special mention to Reece as well who is always smiling. Overall, each and every staff member really created a very special stay, if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely return. I highly recommend staying here.

Oulton Hall is a beautiful hotel set in beautiful grounds. Came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday on a spa break. While the hotel is a lovely and historical place, I wouldn’t describe it as a spa hotel! The facilities are quite limited BUT it was very relaxing and the massages from Haleema and Lauren were amazing! Food was very good and the champagne bar was a good vibe; I’d recommend a drink on the terrace before dinner!

The afternoon was made very special. Excellent service from Robbie, with what felt like a personal touch. Robbie looked after us very well. We'll come against.
