Having spent a few months working in Wakefield and staying at the Oulton Hall I felt compelled to write a review for the lovely Lillian. We have spent many evenings in the Calverley grill, I can only describe the hospitality offered as exemplar. From the initial greeting, to the menu recommendations and the attentive service; the whole package is truly offered. Lillian is leading the charge in fine dining and would encourage anyone seeking a truly exceptional experience to hesitate no longer. She’s truly a pioneer in the industry and I wish her all the best in her quest to offer exclusive experiences for all of her customers. I can only imagine the incredible opportunities and directions her future holds. Thank you Lillian.

I have been staying here for a couple of months now & there is one lady in particular who is a real mensch. Lillian is highly considered as being the cornerstone of Calvery Grill, from the moment of arrival you will be greeted with a smile & impeccable service. She creates an exclusive experience which matches the setting, giving you a real sense of luxury. We are lucky to have people like her on this planet & I will continue to stay at Oulton hall for as long as she is employed.

Came on Thursday 11/06/26 for the Relaxing Face & Back Ritual at 17:00. Medina was incredibly polite and friendly. She was also an amazing masseuse! I feel great, so thank you! I also want to mention Amanda at reception, who was incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive! She was also very patient with me (I wasn’t at my sharpest after a long day). Her male colleague was also friendly, but I didn’t catch his name! Thank you!

Wonderful stay,friendly staff especially Ellie on front desk and Oliver in the restaurant. So welcoming,the room was large and had everything for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend 5star from us x

We had another wonderful visit to Oulton Hall, which has always been one of our favourite places to stay and relax. A special mention goes to Jeanette in the Champagne Bar, who was absolutely amazing at her job. She was warm, welcoming, attentive, and provided outstanding service throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made our experience feel truly special. The setting was equally impressive. The view from the Champagne Bar overlooking the golf course was absolutely stunning, creating the perfect atmosphere to sit back, unwind, and enjoy the experience. Thank you to Jeanette and the team for another memorable visit. We look forward to returning again soon.

This was my second stay at this hotel as I love how friendly and accommodating the staff are. The rooms are spotless clean and comfortable. The restaurant always does good food and the service from Lillian, Erin and Sarah was superb. There is a great selection at breakfast and again the staff are always on top of everything.

Here on a 2 night stay, hotel is beautiful. Staff are amazing, in the restaurant, in the champagne bar, especially Oliver P , for such a young person he has exceptional manners, lovely personality and if he continues a career in hospitality I'm sure he will go a long way . The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast, lunch and dinner have been very enjoyable. All in all we would definitely return here.

We recently stayed at Oulton Hall Hotel for a ladies' golf trip and had a fantastic experience. The golf course was in great condition and made for a very enjoyable round. If you're planning to play, I would recommend booking golf buggies in advance, as they can be in high demand. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed, providing a great place to relax after a day on the course. We also enjoyed dining at the Calverley Grill, where both the food and service were excellent. The restaurant team were fantastic throughout our stay—friendly, professional, and very attentive. A special mention goes to Hayley Parker the co-ordinator, who was incredibly helpful and was our main point of contact for any questions, nothing was too much trouble, and her friendly, approach really enhanced our experience. Overall, Oulton Hall is an excellent choice for a golf break, and we would happily return.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Oulton Hall Hotel, and what a fantastic experience it was from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the reception team, whose friendliness and professionalism set the tone for our entire stay. We would like to thank them all for their assistance throughout our visit, as nothing was ever too much trouble. A special mention must go to Hayley Parker on reception for organising our room upgrade. Her excellent customer service and attention to detail made our stay even more memorable, and we are extremely grateful for her efforts. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking scenery surrounding the property. Our upgraded room overlooked the golf course, and the views were truly picturesque. Waking up each morning to such beautiful surroundings was a real highlight of our stay. Everything about our visit exceeded expectations, from the comfortable accommodation to the exceptional service provided by the team. Thank you to everyone at Oulton Hall Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the very near future.

For a start we slept well on their lovely comfy beds, 9 hours! Staff are vey nice, Ellie and Rhiannon are genuinely friendly giving great customer service. Steam room is superb, changing rooms are decent. Nice ambience from good music through most of the hotel.

We are back again for overnight spa package. As always brilliant from start to finish. Started the day with lunch in champagne bar. 50 minutes spa treatment (deep muscle) spa area, evening meal. Good nights sleep followed by breakfast. Definitely value for money too!

Four of us came to play golf today, we were blown away by the super friendly and helpful staff, in the shop , on the course and in the bar. If you’re expecting a stuffy clique of a golf club, forget it. We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Marshall Nige!

Absolutely love coming here. Staff are brilliant and helpful. Beautiful scenery and can see that this has been looked after so well!! A massive shout out to the green keepers who do this job so well. Got talking to simon who is just so knowledgeable and passionate about his job role which is so nice to see such a credit to your team. Keep up the good work!!

Another lovely stay as always, we keep coming back to this beautiful hotel it’s our second home , I was celebrating my birthday and we were upgraded to a suite , what a lovely surprise and made my birthday extra special, their was also a birthday 🎈 balloon left in the room when we came back from having a complementary drink , I can’t recommend this hotel enough for friendliness, service and comfort thank you once again Oulton hall we will be back later in the year for my husbands birthday
