Yorkshire Sculpture Park

With sculptures from vital artists like Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, plus temporary exhibitions, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some culture, let the kids run around, walk the dog or just enjoy a relaxing stroll through beautiful scenery and artworks.

The Bronte Parsonage, Haworth

The Bronte sisters are one of the most beloved parts of Yorkshire’s literary heritage, and the Bronte Parsonage is a fitting museum to their works – created in the actual home where the sisters and their family lived. Set in the beautiful village of Haworth, the parsonage is at the top of the hill, which winds down a picturesque road overlooking a stunning Yorkshire landscape. Haworth is home to lots of quirky and unusual gift shops – and with lots of stunning walks around the area, it’s the perfect place to spend a day.

The Royal Armouries, Leeds

The Royal Armouries is a beloved Leeds institution, and a wonderful day out for all ages. With over five floors of stunning displays, you can explore arms and armour from across the world and through time. Thousands of pieces are on display, from medieval suits of armour to the heroic weapons of Lord of the Rings! Enjoy themed displays and galleries, see them in action in our tiltyard, or have a go yourself at the crossbow range.

The Hepworth, Wakefield

This award-winning art gallery is built on the banks of the river Calder, in Wakefield – just 15 minutes drive from Oulton Hall. The Hepworth was named after Barbara Hepworth, the world-renowned sculptor who was born and brought up in Wakefield. The gallery features a unique collection of Hepworth’s art, alongside notable exhibitions of international modern and contemporary art.  

Harewood House, Leeds

This stunning historic Georgian house is an iconic attraction, historical site and a fantastic day out! Surrounded by landscaped gardens, with views out over a beautiful Yorkshire vista, there’s lots to do.
